Chronicles of a sashay into Christmas.

Here are the kids with Santa at our local DS Christmas party.

Here is Will at the party playing with age inappropriate toys that Santa had given him:

Here is Will resting in an available seat. He told us this was his car-car.

This is a small tree in our living room:

The amazing thing about the tree is that it has not been touched by Will or this guy:

That is Chester. Chester started out here as Chelsea, but the vet reassigned him to the male domain, much to Olivia's chagrin. Poor Olivia can't catch a break. She was sure that she had another girl in the house. Anyway, the cat usually goes after anything for his playtime enjoyment. Toes, tin foil balls, small bits of cellophane packaging, small unattended toys, especially balls. That is why I am astounded that the tree has not suffered.
So, it is starting to look like Christmas around here and I am sending up thanks for the small Christmas miracle of the untouched Christmas tree.
*edited to add that mom does know a few things about how to tell a girl cat from a boy cat, but Chester came along at only 5 weeks of age and even the vet had to do some pretty close inspecting to make the final call.*
