What a difference a few weeks makes. Today Will finally returned to his weekly Kindermusik class. He had missed a few weeks due to Mitchell being sick, Will being sick, Christmas and public school holidays.
Today we found a freshly painted classroom with lots of big drums set out. Will suddenly turned timid and was happy to just sit and watch, even after a private recorder concert by Miss Terri, his teacher. As the classroom filled up with familiar faces, Will began to feel at home again. He happily banged on the drums and crawled around to check out the drums the other kids were banging on. He was an enthusiastic dancer, shaker, clapper and mimiker. He even enjoyed getting his own instruments from the bin in the center of the room, something he had previouly never done before.
I also spotted Will making eyes at a girl in his class! After a hearty lunch the musician in training is still snoozing!
